an oily mess

I've posted a picture of this as a pencil sketch before, but here 'tis in oil painting.
This one has been parted from my collection as a friend now has it. It's always sad to see pieces of art leave- It's not just a collection of random pigment strewn about a panel- it was an idea at one point, which i spent hours upon hours staring at and rendering. *sigh* ah well.
The thoughts for this one are the same- who doesn't feel that life is going well enough sometimes, that the bubble will burst?
